30 Years of Model Building
How did you get started?
I've been a history nut for as long as I can remember. It all started with hearing stories of my grandfather's service in WW2 and then progressed into building models in my teens. I took some breaks along the way but have been back at the bench full-time for a few years now.
What types/scales of models do you build?
I generally build 1/35 scale WW2 armor, 1/48 scale WW2 planes, the occasional figure or tow and have lately also been buying some ship kits for my stash.
Why scale models?
I work a pretty stressful job in tech sales and am also chauffeur to two very active kids. I find that nothing is more relaxing to me than to completely turn my brain off and sit at my bench.
Do you sell your models?
While I will definitely build commission works for customers, I am often asked if I would also sell any of my own completed models. Truthfully, I get pretty attached to them and have a hard time parting with them.

The whole Sour Kraut thing started on Instagram - where I posted pics just for fun and suddenly realized that there were thousands of people following me. Weird.
